As we had booked an apartment through our holiday club and only one being available. I had done some research and found that nearby were two resorts. The biggest one is Loser in Bad Altaussee, approximately 30 minutes drive from Grundelsee where we were staying.
The Snow Center (Hemel Hempstead) Review
The Snow Center in Hemel Hempstead, is the closest indoor ski slope to London, and the main reason we chose it for my first ski lessons. It is easy to get to from junction 8 on the M1. It also has plenty of free parking onsite.

S Day has arrived that being Ski Day, today will see me embark on two lessons at the Snow Center in Hemel Hempstead. The center is my closest indoor slope with “real” snow. I will include a more detailed overview on the Skiing Destinations page.
