Today’s session is again focusing on my basic parallel turn, which is still some what elusive, but I am determined to crack it. The slope wasn’t too busy so I managed to get in twelve runs, with an added bonus of being the second person down the fresh groomed slope and I managed to get my favorite side.

Reflection: A good session despite it being three weeks since my last lift pass. I seemed to be getting tantalisingly close to my goal on some of my turns, which was also confirmed on the videos taken for me. I am looking forward to private lesson on the 16th June, having promised myself that if I hadn’t made significant progress with getting parallel by my first skiing birthday that I would make the investment. Hopefully it will give me a confidence boost to try some other techniques, like the ones Carv recommends, as well as the ones I have seen on numerous YouTube videos.
